Teira and I would like to thank the Team, Students and the fans for wearing pink to last nights game. It means alot to us personally since we are currently in the fight against breast cancer. November 1st will be 18 months since she was first diagnosed, and she hasn't missed but a couple games thus far. (She claims to not like football, but I think she is a bigger mustang fan than me) Thanks again everyone

Snyder rolls to 49-6 win After Friday’s 49-6 victory at Mustang Bowl over Sweetwater, life on the gridiron appears to be back to normal at Snyder.
The Tigers scored early and often in their second appearance at the Bowl this season — they beat Clyde 57-14 at the TSTC Sammy Baugh Classic — with Keenon Ward again leading the way. Snyder’s quarterback ran for 139 yards and two scores while throwing for 216 yards and a TD. Brandon Davis and Kelton Garcia ran for two TDs and Anthony Taylor caught a 4-yard TD pass from Ward.
Snyder punted just once, on its opening possession after a three-and-out. How-ever, Sweetwater failed to take advantage and was forced to kick it back to the Tigers, who began from near midfield and quickly cashed in on Kelton Garcia’s 2-yard run with 6:12 left in the opening quarter.
Snyder (1-1 in District 5-3A, 6-2 overall) then increased its lead to 14-0 over Sweetwater with ano-ther short drive later in the first period, capped by a 2-yard run by Garcia at the 3:20 mark.
Sweetwater (4-5, 0-3) didn’t get a first down until early in the second quarter and by then trailed 21-0. The Mustangs got just two more first downs before halftime and by then Snyder — who was trounced 61-20 by No. 1-ranked Brownwood the previous week — led 35-0.
Snyder, which came into Friday’s 5-3A contest averaging more than 45 points and 434 yards a game, fin-ished with 430 yards against Sweetwater. Ward, who had TD runs of 10 and 56 yards, accounted for about 83 percent of that total.
B.J. Walker’s 2-yard scoring run with 4:05 left capped an 11-play, 70-yard drive to help Sweetwater avoid being shut out for the first time this season. But it was only small consolation as the Mustangs saw hopes of a playoff berth all but dashed with a trip to Brownwood (8-0, 2-0) left on their schedule. The Lions, after a pair of easy wins to start district, host Sweetwater this Friday and are tied with Wylie for first place in district.
Despite Brownwood’s record, Sweetwater coach Craig Slaughter said there is no reason for his team to be intimidated by the Lions.
“We told the guys that it’s our last game and we’ve got nothing to lose,” he said. “We’ll go down there and play as hard as we can and get after them.”
Sweetwater had just two turnovers, but both led to Snyder scores. Walker had 63 yards on 13 carries and quarterback Taylor Jones was 8-of-14 passing for 74 yards. His favorite target, Tanner Crain, finished with four catches for 50 yards while Connor Stafford had two catches for 15 yards.
On defense, Sam Nemir had six solo tackles and four assists while Walker had six tackles and three assists and also defended a pass.
