Sweetwater began practicing for the 2009 football season today under new head coach Craig Slaughter (below left), who along with his staff put the players through several drills. All high school teams were allowed to begin workouts today, with contact drills scheduled to start Friday. The Mustangs play their first scrimmage here on Aug. 15 and begin the season Aug. 28.
